Rule #28 Don't Use Space Like a Trashcan

Space Junk: Orbiting Debris, Once a Nuisance, Is Now a Threat

Trash in space is a serious threat to satellites and spacecraft. Why? Because that stuff is ripping along thousands of miles an hour and the kinetic energy it carries will shred a satellite or a spaceship into more trash.

The article talks about the cascade effect of the trash, trash begets trash in this instance. The more debris there is in orbit above the earth, the more likely collisions are to occur and the more trash is created and the problem gets exponentially worse.

It makes sense to not use cyberspace as a trashcan either because nothing ever really disappears online. The internet is recording everything you have done and will do. Keep that in mind when you go surfing for gay midget porn.

Rule #28 is Don't Use Space (real or cyber) Like a Trashcan
