Rule #86 There Shouldn't Be Lead Paint to Ban from Childrens Toys In the FIRST Place

China Bans Lead Paint on Toy Exports which I read as they'll keep using lead paint on toys that stay in country. Which seems shortsighted and somewhat mean.

But my first thought continues to be, Why is any lead paint allowed in a kid's toy? That just seems utterly stupid. Lead is poisonous to people. Kid's ingest almost everything they possibly can, especially as toddlers. Lead paint on a toy will inevitably end up in some kid's mouth. Hell, why is lead paint in anything?

We got rid of the lead in gas, why wouldn't we want to get rid of lead everywhere else too?

Rule #86 is There Shouldn't Be Lead Paint to Ban from Childrens Toys In the FIRST Place
