I don't know about you but if my life is in danger and I'm inhaling ash, picking some goddamned strawberries can wait.
Remember that name, Crisalida Farms. And if you're about to buy some strawberries, make sure they aren't from that asshole farm run by assholes.
I hope the authorities are getting all up in their business as a result of this abuse of power. I hope their records are combed through and I hope they face massive fines for trying to force people to work in hazardous conditions or lose their job.

#336 Do Your Damned Job, Especially When Your Job Entails Security from Terroristic Actions
At Least 27 Honolulu TSA Officers Under Probe - Honolulu News Story - KITV Honolulu
The job of a TSA screen is to screen passengers and luggage for prohibited items including bombs or weapons.
These 27 agents just decided to not check luggage for months at a time. They are incredibly damned lucky nothing happened that resulted in anyone dying from their outrageous negligence. Because if that had happened then I think every single one of them should face manslaughter charges.
As it is, they should all lose their jobs and face prosecution.
So the TSA agents will grope your junk in the name of security but can't be arsed to actually look into the luggage for bombs? I'd love to be able to just choose parts of my job that I don't want to do.
How about a cop that doesn't feel like chasing down a murderer? Or a fireman who's not up to putting out the fires? What about a doctor who rubber stamps his patients instead of actually checking them out?
These people do not deserve their jobs, they do not deserve unemployment, they deserve to pay for their negligence and utter dereliction of duty.

Boss fires staff for not smoking
Obviously this did not happen in the USA because the doors wouldn't have gotten closed before a pack of lawyers descended on the business. Nope, this one is out of Germany and the three staffers who were fired for not smoking were requesting a non-smoking working environment.
The gall of them to not want to breathe in deadly fumes from other people's disgusting nicotine addictions.
But the boss has a plan for the future, he's going to only hire smokers. I wonder if he'll see a rise in lost time due to sickness as a result?
