Fired worker who tried to get back at his company is sent to Federal prison for a year and a day. He was also ordered to pay $54,000 to his former company.
The stupid thing about Steven John Barnes in this instance is that he held his grudge for five months before hacking into the company's systems.
Sure, the company was stupid enough to not change passwords and cover their own asses. But Mr. Disgruntled should have just let it go and moved on with his life. As it stands now, he'll get a year of sitting around with his (or someone else's) thumb up his ass.
