#341 Honor Your Parents

Twins lived with dead mother for 3 months
which is disgusting and wrong in and of itself. But the way their mother died and the appalling lack of give a damn about her is what is really shocking here. The mother fell down and was unable to get up but, since she wasn't complaining, her children left her there. She died three days later, one day after her 89th birthday.

The holy shit what the fuck is wrong with these idiots is incredibly strong here (along with the odor of a rotting corpse in the foyer). And it gets weirder and sicker. The corpse was in a nightgown without any underwear on, the gown had been pulled up to her arms. Think about this, these disgusting men left their mother to die on the floor of their house and then, after she was dead, defiled her body before letting the bugs get at it.

Seriously. This whole story reads like some sick writer's fantasy. That people would mistreat others like this is sad, that they did this to their own mother is beyond any redemption and, in my humble opinion, neither of them should continue to live.

Rule #341 is Honor Your Parents or, at the very least, call them an ambulance when they fall down and can't get up and absolutely don't just go about your business while your mother's corpse rots in the front hallway.

#326 Don't Close the School Library and Replace It With a Coffeeshop

Of course, you know a story with a headline like this, Lamar High's Library Ousts Books, Re-Opens as Coffee Shop is going to be southern and most likely Texan. And guess what? You're right.

I bet the principal considered putting in a strip club before "settling" on a coffee shop. Because lord knows we need more coffee and less book readerating. Especially in schools where learning leads to thinking which leads to realizing that your state is run by a bunch of dimwitted assholes in big hats.

Texas is the state that wants to rewrite textbooks to include creationism and other totally bullshit religion-based information that will push America even further behind the rest of the world in terms of really educating our children.

They didn't pave paradise because Texas ain't nothing like paradise and they didn't put up a parking lot but they didn't go too far off from the song.
